Having a child with special needs requires you to look at the world with new eyes. What may not be a challenge for most children may seem like an insurmountable mountain to your child. You spend your time trying to find ways to help them adapt, help them learn, and help them realize they are just as special as any other child. When it's time for school, this doesn't change. You still are your child's best advocate and only you fully understand what they need.

These facilities provide age-appropriate education so the kids master some basic academic skills before entering kindergarten. In addition to a structured learning environment, the best daycare centers also provide a substantial amount of time for unstructured play. As you're deciding which center to enroll your child in, look for that feature in addition to others you know are important.
